Assay’s proven methodology, increases the value and attractiveness of a business by focusing particularly on M in the formula: V (valuation) = P (profit) x M (multiple).

Who are we?

Assay Corporate Finance is an established UK Corporate Finance business with offices in London and Birmingham which focusses on working with owner managers to help them realise the full equity value of their business on an exit.

Assay has brought together an international team whose experience in business, and as managers, CEOs and entrepreneurs, is complemented by their range of specialist skills in corporate finance, business sales, raising capital, and management consulting.

We combine this hands-on experience of what it means to own and run a business with a ground-breaking approach to managing the process of maximising equity value for middle market business owners. Our approach puts the aspirations and concerns of our clients at the heart of our process.

We have strong sector rich experience in Healthcare, TMT, Human Capital, Logistics, Industrials, Distribution, Capital Equipment, Renewables and Automotive which when combined with our extensive transaction experience delivers great results for our clients, time and time again.

We also have a consulting arm which works with owner managers to position themselves for an eventual exit and which uses our proprietary Equity Acceleration Planning tool.

Why Assay Corporate Finance?

What really makes Assay Corporate Finance different is our Partners have all owned and exited their own businesses. We have empathy with the owner manger taking the journey for the first time. Our sector experience and our international network then combine to ensure that a potential global market for the business can be readily accessed.

We see our clients as partners for whom we are seeking to obtain the best result possible, even if this may take a little more time.

We have designed our business, so the interests of Assay Corporate Finance align fully at each step in the process with those of its business owning clients.

On buyside mandates we pride ourselves on developing a deep understanding of the buyers needs. This means that we will only show them opportunities that have been fully qualified and which meet their needs. This saves time and ensures we are always aligned to our clients goals.

Our relationship with IMAP is an important element of both a sales mandate and a buy mandate and this makes us unique in the UK market for transactions below £50m in value.
